CROSS CULTURAL CONVERSATIONS PANELIST- DR. AH-JEONG KIM, Theatre History and Literature Professor, California State University-Northridge
Ah-jeong Kim is Professor of Theatre History/Literature/Criticism and Director of Graduate Studies in Theatre Arts at California State University, Northridge. Her research focuses on the intercultural theatre, world dramas, and contemporary Korean theatre. Her book, The Metacultural Theatre of Oh Tae-sok: Five Plays from the Korean Avant-Garde by the University of Hawaii (1999) won the Translation Award from the Korean Literature Institute. Besides teaching and research, she works as a producer and a dramaturg for theatre as well as arts festivals. In 2012, Kim successfully produced the first “One World Art and Music Festival” at the California Hummingbird Nest Ranch in commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of LA Riots.
